What is Corporation Tax?

Corporation Tax is a tax on the taxable profits of companies and certain other organisations. For 2026, the main rate is 25%, while companies with profits of £50,000 or less generally qualify for the 19% small profits rate, with Marginal Relief available between £50,000 and £250,000 subject to the relevant rules.
